[Vdp] Budget 2025

Dear VDP Members, This is to inform you that information about funding for events, grants and scholarships for the year 2025 is not available on Moodle. The Rectorate has increased our budget for this year. The budget for doctoral schools is calculated on the basis of the performance of the school, i.e. the number of graduates, the timely passing of the FÖP, the submission of the dissertation agreement, and the annual reports. One of the factors for this increase is the overall good performance for which you are responsible. On behalf of our Directors and Steering Committee, I would like to thank you for this. My special thanks go to each of the doctoral candidates who put a lot of effort into organizing these events and to our new SSC student assistant, Isabel Seelmann, who has worked very diligently and contributed with fresh ideas and work to make the FÖP a more comfortable space. I would also take this opportunity to remind you to be on time with the compulsory milestones of your doctorate, if they are not on time, see: https://vd-philosophy.univie.ac.at/phd-program/compulsory-activities/ Importantly, the budget increase will be reflected in the number of activities and calls the school government is planning for this year and in the calls you will receive in the next days/weeks, such as the Writing Retreat, which is listed in the document. I wish you a good end of the semester, and thank you very much for participating so actively in the FÖP, which has had record attendance this semester, and in the pragmatic academic events and writing evenings.
